A Brew to Rue

A certain coffee brand has taken it in its head that a coffee-making machine, together with milk and sugar, is not quite enough to relish its brew. So, it has enlisted the help of Deepika Padukone—and her skinned hips—along with a shaker. Perhaps, she has great mixing skills, you say? Well, you may be right. She does mix around rather well. She mixed around with Ranbir Kapoor, then with that Kingfisher guy and thereafter, she left them both with a whole lot of trouble: Ranbir had trouble explaining what he did to her and then to Katrina Kaif and God-alone-knows who else. Time: 11:56 am IST Hello! And welcome to the morning news! Here are the main stories: I woke up at 6:26 am today. It wasn't a bright sunny morning. And the thought of what I'll have to face in the next two hours made it all the more less brighter than it was! Right enough, as if on cue, an assortment of black clouds arrived and began to cry! Date: July 22, 2013 It seems as if all the news in the world has vanished to make way for Prince William and Kate Middleton's baby boy! BBC World News harped on the matter for an hour and wasn't done the time I left for work. I understand it's a lovely occasion. And the British royals might be mighty pleased. And believe you me, I too am pleased about the happenstance. But to spend a tedious 30 minutes (that seemed like an hour!) reporting the matter is a bit too much to digest, leave alone weather. I was rather surprised, really. The BBC is known to temper the importance of a news item and present it in as unbiased a manner as possible. The Prelude to a Conversation: Part 1

Consequently, pools of sweat stuck to all travelling in trains, waiting on platforms, and running towards stations as well. They glistened in their earnestness to be part of the clothes people wore and would not let go even when the clothes had had enough of them. In other words, everyone - me including - was stinking with sweat! And since I reside in Thane - which is on the fringes of the skirts of Bombay - the heat treats me the way it does Thane: like an evil Godforsaken stepmother. If you happen to be struck by a mood to visit the station Thane lets trains stop at, you'll notice the place is as haphazard as haphazard can be. A domineering flyover looms its way over the main entrance and opens its mouth wide enough to form the Thane station bus stop just alongside the roofs of the station.

Yesterday, All my troubles seemed so far away... They were in love. He waited for her at the station, he waited for her at the park, he waited and waited and waited till she walked into his arms, smiled, and frightened all his worries away. The Dirty Linen at The Halt

Things have come to an unceremonious halt these days. I don't feel like making my way to work. I don't feel the necessity to bathe. I don't attempt to pick my nose. I don't harbour a craving for chocolate. And generally, I don't seem to have a purpose to do anything at all. Last evening, I reached home at 7:30, promptly walked into my bedroom, and sat in front of the computer. I had no fixed agenda. In fact, sitting at the computer wasn't even thought about.
